No, it really wasn't. It's a tired joke mixed with slavery/racism. Retelling the eating babies joke with a racial/slavery twist doesn't revive its humor, nor express any real creativity. Granted, you may not have been inspired from that particular joke. However, many variants of that joke have circulated in social media at large where dark humor is present.
There is literally nothing funny about this.
