OK, to be clear, I believe that all living U.S. Citizens over the age of 18 have the right to vote. Just as we all have the right to bear arms, express our first amendment rights, etc., perhaps not everyone SHOULD exercise their right to vote.
Automatic registration? OK, like when you renew your driver's license, whatever, OK. Automatic mass mailing of ballots as happened in 2020? Out of the question.
My point, if people aren't involved enough to take a little time and effort to vote then perhaps they shouldn't. It shows a blatant disregard for the candidates, the issues, and the process. Example, in the 2000 election I was really turned off by both Bush & Gore so I didn't vote for either one. See how that works? Yes, I was glad it was Bush that won, especially after 9/11 and I voted for him in 2004, but the 2000 election didn't do anything for me.
