Except the XL pipeline was for moving oil that was to be sold elsewhere - it wasn't oil for us at all. Pipelines are the best way to move fuel when you need/want to transport fuel. Safer than the other transport methods. For the XL pipeline which isn't providing oil for us, we don't want to risk the spill. Especially since tar sands oil which is what was to be transported is much more corrosive and judged more likely to damage the pipelines and spill over time.
