Nowadays the Great Smoky Mountains are thought to be Cherokee land, but
it's not that simple. As the U.S. colonies
were expanding in the east, the Shawnee
drove us out of the Ohio river valley. We headed south & invaded the land
of the Taskagi (Tuskegee) people. They went further south & took refuge in
the Creek Confederacy. A chain of misery.
