We shouldn’t be mandating highly personal choices like this - that’s what China tries to do with their heavy-handed family policies.
Skin tone differences will always exist, and that’s not a bad thing. It’s just a thing like the color of your hair or your eyes.
But we can try to build a society where there isn’t so much discrimination around it.
So, love and respect everyone regardless of these superficial differences. It’s simple and it doesn’t cost a thing, but it goes against our innate cognitive biases as human beings, so it’s hard to do. So we have to keep reminding ourselves not to disfavor other races and not to favor our own.
