Teeth are not bones. Bones are living, and they contain certain matter that allow them to be flexible, but teeth are not living tissue. When a bone is broken, the body sends bone cells to that area in order to regenerate it, but that does not occur with teeth. If a human chips a tooth, it is permanent unless you have cosmetic work done to repair it.
