well ill do mine first anyways,
soup= food solids in liquid
cereal= food solids in liquid
take that banana

soup is usually hot and google says it's a liquid dish, typically made by boiling meat, fish, or vegetables, etc., in stock or water. cereal is eaten with milk and doesn't have meat, fish, or vegetables in it (besides corn in some cases which barely counts)
