Pfffft, Brice Lee is not the father of MMA he did no grappling.

Rorion Gracie. Don't get me wrong, love Bruce and all. But UFC 1 was pretty much the brain child of Rorion.

Bruce Lee has influenced the founders of UFC and He was much bigger than UFC. Bruce knows how to use weapons too.. His martial arts also influenced modern fighting video games like Street Fighter, Tekken etc..
In my opinion, Using weapon is more useful in a real life fight incident. When you face multiple thugs or people with knifes.

There are no weapons in mma. Mma is not a street fight or a video game like street fighter. It's a culmination of combining and refining martial arts which, admittedly, Bruce did before the UFC and it pissed off many traditional martial artist. But that's not what you asked. You asked who the father of mma was. I gave you the answer. Not discrediting Bruce in any way, I'm sure he influenced Rorion in some way as he has influenced most everybody in the modern martial arts world and plenty of people outside of it. But mma was born of the UFC and the UFC was born of Rorion working with promoters to show case jujitsu against other martial arts... There was a martial art vs martial art showcase in Japan months ahead and there have been many before that. I'm not even really a fan of the Gracie family and their arrogance, even though they developed an awesome fighting system that works quite well "in a real life fight incident." But if you really want to pinpoint the birth of mma, there really is no dispute. It all started with Rorion and UFC 1.

And even the President of UFC Dana White has admitted that Bruce Lee is the father of MMA

Many people gathered the current MMA. The Ancienf Greeks practiced wrestling and striking. Mas Oyama from Okinawa was mixing disciplines when Bruce Lee was in Diapers. What Lee has is legend status among martial Artists, but he is not solely responsible for fathering MMA.
