probably cuz the mpaa association were some boomers who didnt know anything about japan and the movie. and hey, im going to watch that movie, and im 12.

Hey, it's 21+ in Indonesia, many friends of mine (Most of them are 15-19 years old )are really dissapointed in the rating, and my older friends have watched it, and they STILL CENSOR IT EVEN IF IT'S ALREADY RATED 21+. WHAT'S THE POINT OF THE RATING THEN?

in Japan my cousin who is ONLY 6 was able to watch it sad

In Canada, the English version of the Fairy Tail manga is 13 years old if I remember right. While the French (the ones that I have) ones have no age recommendation.

So that's why all my classmates wanted the Fairy Tail manga.

Why is it rated r?

Blood (it’s cartoon blood it’s not even real come on america) and violence (understandable but not deserving of an r)

not like america has rated r things happening everyday

I told my dad i wanted to go see it in theaters but me and my family are Christians so when I told my parents the name of the movie and what it was rated they just kind of looked at me 🥲
