God, this topic is a can of worms.

Having sexual attraction to minors is not a CRIME if you don’t act on it. But is feeling that way harmful? Is it dangerous both to yourself and others? In a physical and mental health sense? Probably. If that’s true, then being a pedophile is wrong regardless of any associated actions.

I and most others who are sensitive to LGBTQ issues do not believe pedophilia is a real or legitimate sexual orientation. Pedophiles need therapy, counseling, and treatment. They don’t need to be harassed if they behave themselves, but we shouldn’t offer them full acceptance of “who they are,” either.

Because what they want is illegal and can scar a kid for life. We should never lose sight of that.
