I mean, if they can recommend another option of equivalent efficacy then I think it's fine.
But I also feel like most doctors and nurses would try to save a life no matter who needed saving, especially if said healthcare worker was a Christian, which (at least, this is true of any legit denomination of Christianity) teaches that one must love their neighbors as themselves (treat others how you want to be treated).
I could be missing whatever you're referencing.
