Fairly sure I am a furry and a Christian, but I wish I was less engaged with furry activities and thoughts.
To have an interest in the antro characters and storytelling is one thing, but to put on the suit and mask and wanting to become my fursona gives me a sour feeling that I am not as I should be. Ask any furry if they would want to become their fursona and they tend to seriously consider the thought. God made us in his image. (Genesis 1:27 "So God created mankind in his own image..male and female"). It is not right for me to want to become animal-like when I was made to be a higher creature more connected with God.
Jesus said that we are worth more than many sparrows. Matthew 10:31, Luke 12:7
Almost every other furry I've met are very welcoming and LGBTQ+ positive, which is another thing to consider if you think they could be a mission field or an insidious influence on the truth we believe.
Vices and evils are often described in literature as animal-like. A conman is like a crafty fox, A raging brute is like a bull, A wrathful person has a Lion-heart, A jittery and wavering person is like a bird glancing at every new thing, A talkative person that speaks nonsense is like a yapping dog, A violent bandit is like a wolf, A sensual person that wallows in lust is like a pig in muck.
Concerning antro characters in storytelling, Jesus is both the Lion of Judah and the Passover Lamb. these are believed to be symbolic of the qualities that God possesses.
Jesus says in Matthew 10:16 "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves." this literary device is called a simile. the qualities that we should strive toward are innocence and wisdom.
You need wisdom. Pray to God to give you wisdom and seek His desires before you make a decision to become a furry.
