Hollywood, of course, being famously a multi-billion dollar for-profit business industry.

Your tv has an off button. You chose the movie with your money.

And you have brought up a very good point.

The only problem is that no, we didn’t choose those movies with our money. We actively decided not to watch those movies. They lose money. And no matter how many commercial and critical bombs they make, they’ll still make more of these movies and shows because they blame other people for their own failures.

“Hang on, didn’t you just lose a hundred million dollars when you made that Ghostbusters movie?”
“Well, you see, it’s not my fault. It’s the racists and the sexists. It’s not my fault that I made a bad movie that lost tons of money.”

I don’t know when Hollywood will get the gist of it, but I hope it will be soon.

Turn off your tv- turn off your kids tv. Yes, you have a choice. Do you want the govt to decide what everyone can watch? I block channels i don't want to see like all the home shopping channels the religious channels that beg for money to get you into heaven. Do i think those shows should be taken off the air? No- i dont watch.
Put your big gurl panties on and make an adult decision.

Q. How long can people create movies or widgets that lose hundreds of millions of dollars?
A. Not very long

Nowhere did I say that the government should decide what people should watch.
What I did say was that people have indeed spoken, and they don’t want these garbage movies (especially ones building off of existing franchises like Star Wars and Terminator) to even exist because they actually ruin the standards of storytelling.

If these awful movies are getting praised for nothing more than agreeing with political check marks, then future movies are at risk of being awful as well.

Believe it or not, most people don’t want to just hold on to movies they liked from the 80’s and 90’s. They also want new movies to be good as well. Who wouldn’t want that?

Are you one of those people who think that any criticism of a movie should be taken down, and only certain people who like certain kinds of movies should go watch those certain movies because they will automatically like them?

And to answer your question, it does indeed seem like Hollywood might be listening in... finally.

You and your people are always the victim-
How do you know what people want? Are you the king of your trailer park?

Yeah because... it’s actually a form of violence to make bad movies with political messages... you seriously think that WE think this?

In your own words... how do you know what people want?

And I can actually answer that:
* plummeting view ratings on shows that delve into identity politics like Westworld, Star Trek, Doctor Who, and Batwoman
* box office bombs like Mulan, A Wrinkle in Time, Terminator: Dark Fate, Ghostbusters 2016, Birds of Prey, and Charlie’s Angels
* plenty of communities and forums talking about the flaws with modern Hollywood’s over-obsession with identity politics

Are you done with your ad hominem? Or are you going to keep saying the same old same old “if you don’t like it, don’t watch it?”

what if the political messages are what you and your trailer park like?
Turn off the tv.
Love how those right wing- cancel culture, boycotts are working too- if you can give me the heads up on what company is next, i would like to invest- those stocks seem to do well because people like you boycott them. Um, wait, arent they supposed to do poorly when YOUR people boycott? Perhaps you dont know what people want. It's a big whirled' out there- time to leave the park.

First off, the odds of HW making a hardcore conservative movie are super low, and if it did happen, we’d still hate it. There are some movies that spread conservative messages that are just awful like Gamer from 2009.

“Aren’t they supposed to do poorly when YOUR people boycott?”

Yes.

Haven’t you seen the bombs of Solo: A Star Wars Story and Mulan? Those movies lost so much money.

Also, boycotting something isn’t cancel culture. Cancel culture is actively destroying the career of particular people for their political beliefs. We, on the other hand, are boycotting movies and corporations because of their actions. Big difference. We could care less what Kathleen Kennedy’s political beliefs were if she didn’t forcefully jam them into her movies and publicity stunts.

But do keep on assuming things. It is indeed funny to read.

Trying to ruin the corps success ( the line workers to the CEO's) from boycotting their products is directly destroying their livelyhood.
What if the trailer in the lot next to yours puts spinner rims on their trailer- what do you do?

Do you have an actual argument anymore? Or any evidence... at all... to support it?Doesn’t look like it.

You never required facts for the past 4 years-

Now you’re just rambling about Trump which has nothing to do with this.

Why am I even here? You’re blatantly incompetent at arguing. So I’ll see you later.

There is no success to ruin if the movie didn’t even come out yet.
There’s either success or no success.
Also, boycotting doesn’t just happen. It happens because of past actions that those particular people pulled... such as making terrible movies...
Why would people want to watch another movie by the same people who made a terrible before hand?

As opposed to cancel culture which is just ruining someone’s livelihood because of their political beliefs.

But you still think that these are the same thing? Really??

Still doubling down on trailer parks, eh?

I trust you saw the Borat movie- that was FUNNY. Rudy sure did make it look like he thought he was going to have sex with that 15 year old in the hotel room-right? What a great actor Rudy is.
