Hate speech is usually directed at a group of people. What group is mayonnaise directed at? The context I have seen it used in is to make fun of conservatives so I guess it is the same level of hate speech as Magat. But idk anything.

That is my way of saying that your youtube video did not convince me that the term mayo is hate speech. Seems more like a funny joke.

They're depicting it as a thing that white people eat predominantly. It'd be like if you called a black kid "Watermelon."

When you put it like that, I guess I should be offended by it, but I'm not. I have always found derogatory names directed at white people (honky, cracker etc) funny. Maybe because I never felt the negative effects of structural racism I can laugh about it. I did go to public school where there were latino gangs that would bully me and call me milk and q-tip.
