I think about this... I don't want to *hate* anyone... but the right is trying really hard...

I'm a middle schooler from Iowa and my school just opened back up without doing anything long before everyone else even thought about opening back up schools. No mask requirement and sure enough every week the classrooms were half full and people were getting quarantined left and right. In the beginning, there may have been like 3 out of 20 people wearing masks. Eventually, everyone got it and we reached herd immunity. I always wore a mask and I never got the virus. It's just sad to think how many people may have died due to the spread we were causing I do know a couple of people

(Sorry I accidentally hit reply) that lost some of their older family members to Covid. Basically what I'm trying to say is that your right I'm worried that as soon as one of the new variants hits we'll have another outbreak.

Herd immunity is a thing, yes... However, people on the right-wing think that herd-immunity should be the approach we take. Do you see why playing Herd immunity with a lethal virus is not a good idea? (Just trying to get a feel for your optics here)

Yes, I agree with you Herd Immunity is not a thing we should pursue with this. I'm just saying that we reached it and we paid a heavy price. I think that getting everyone vaccinated is the best route not getting everyone sick and having everyone vulnerable die along the way. We've already seen the U.K. variant start raging its way across the world I don't want something even more lethal mutating out of the other strains. (Bottom line I think we agree with each other)
