Historically, it has been mainly petitions and things like that. But now, businesses just use it as a flimsy pretext for bribery. What I meant when I said it should be illegal, I meant the monetary kind. This can lead to decisions that are not for the good of the people, but for the good of the corporation

The reason the first amendment is first is because freedom is a human right. The second is second because they were alive in a time where guns were necessary for survival. Not the case. And, if guns are so essential to freedom, please explain how

The second is to defend against tyranny, which they had firsthand knowledge of (necessary to a free state, the ONLY time the word "necessary" is used in the bill of rights)
