Okay - so let’s look at the larger wars and how much “territorial acquisition” or “economic and political dominance” we’ve done as a nation in the last - let’s say 100 years.

World War 1 - No US territories acquired through conquest of Europe, Africa, Asia; still have their own political structure and economy

World War 2 - No US territories acquired through conquest of Europe, Africa, Asia; still have their own political structure and economy

Korean War - No US territories acquired through conquest of Korea; still have their own political structure and economy

Vietnam War - No US territories acquired through conquest of Vietnam; still have their own political structure and economy

Gulf War - No US territories acquired through conquest of the Middle East; still have their own political structure and economy
