How do new users make it to the front page on their first post

No idea, I think they just say "first post" or something.
Like me, it was ok me months to get to the front page for the first time with my Pixar intro gif, ever since I became popular I tried to be funnier and a lot of imgflip users started upvoting me somehow.

I only made it on front page twice
