Are you talking about "Destroy All Monsters"? Because that was in 1968 and King Ghidorah fought both Anguirus and Godzila in "Godzilla vs. Gigan".

Yeah, I guess Gigan took on Aguirus most of the time and Godzilla fought King Ghidorah.
