You are absolutely right. Hatred is hatred. It is clear that Billy Evan's killer was motivated by racist hate. He may have been mentally unstable and suffering from football-related brain injuries. But, millions of mentally unsound people live full lives without killing. The same goes for people who have had multiple blows to the head. But, hatred is a deficit that too often leads to someone's death. And, too often it is someone like Billy Evans, whose only "crime," was to defend the vulnerable and innocent.
We can't make demagogues like Farrakhan magically disappear or shut up. But, we don't have to spread hate with our own spoken words and online postings. Disagree without spreading hate. We can't afford to lose all the good guys/
