My problem with them is that they're breeding grounds for idolatry, pride, and heresy on the pastor's part. It's difficult having such significant levels of spiritual power while still being accountable. Also, Megachurches just don't have the same charm as smaller churches.

If you have thousands of people going to a church, that church should plant more churches.

That's what the Mormon church does, but they're technically all the same church. My biggest beef with them is their distribution of finances. very little of the tithes goes back to the people, it's used to buy land or just stored away. If it was like,... short of a million, I'd understand, but it's 265 billion in net worth.

If the teaching follows scripture, ya good. Would be hard to actually get to know people tho

The megachurch can be a good tool for evangelism if it actually teaches scripturally. But I don’t think that it is a good place to stay at for too long.

A lot of mega-churches don't teach the gospel or are into mysticism and New Age. Also, they huge amount of people keeps the pastor from being able to fully care for the flock because there's no way he will ever meet everyone, not to mention be able to care for their spiritual needs.

Personally, I like smaller churches. Fellowship is a huge part of a good church, and I think that it would be harder to meet people in a megachurch

I think that Jesus would hate them personally. The only time Jesus really got mad was when ppl sold things at his temple. Imagine him finding a flying pastor and a rock band.

I think He might hate the secularization, but He did give a sermon to 5000 men plus women and children.
