The writing was great, I enjoyed the show a ton, and yea, I kinda felt like it was forced. In TLOK they at least didn't like push it at ya all the time. It was subtle, and not really confirmed till the comics.

Honestly, I think all of the diversity came really naturally. I mean, Catra and Adora was just obvious from the beginning. Spinerella and Netossa are also pretty obvious. Scorpia and perfuma was a little strange, but I think they still did a good job of it
It was sooooo much better than the original show. I really liked how they made a lot more of the characters into individuals with depth. To think that Scorpia and Entrapta were just bad guys in the original!

that was actually called She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
2018 ‧ Adventure
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is set on the planet Etheria and follows the stories of Adora and Catra, orphans who were raised to be soldiers in the Horde. They are part of an evil army led by Hordak, a tyrannical despot who dreams of conquering the planet.
I like your use of detail! That detail of changing the title "She-Ra: Princess of Power" to She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is really telling for the multitude of changes they made in the new version.

Welcome aboard! Postmodernism is an art/cultural movement. Part of the basic idea is that most good things have already been done, so postmodern art is referential and prone to reworking or mashing up existing works.
