My friend is nonbinary, agender to be exact. They are AFAB. But they still called themselves a lesbian.
Gyno can be any gender as long as the person is feminine.

No it doesn't. Turn off the news and your social media. Go spend time with folks in your community. 90% of the acrimony and hatred you see spewed by idiots on both sides is only there because they have a computer screen that keeps them anonymous. I grant you it's a very charged time, politically speaking, but it's not nearly as bad as the SJW and QAnon freaks would have you believe.

The "official" term is gynophile (and corresponding androphile if you prefer male partners). But most people don't use it because they don't even know about these words. However, it is entirely up to you what you call yourself. For example if you feel comfortable with the term lesbian (because you were afab or are non-binary but feel a bit more female/feminine, for example) you can call yourself lesbian. It all depends on what you feel is the right term to describe you. And if it's someone else you want to know about: ask them. 😉

You'd still be lesbian if you're biologically born a female, or straight if you're biologically born a male.
