The fascinating thing about gun registration schemes is that for them to be effective, the government already has to be keeping records that it is illegal for them to keep; The government has to BREAK THE LAW NOW so it can keep tabs on law abiding citizens IN THE FUTURE; and some people think this is a good idea!
