Actually, Australia's gun violence was falling at an identical rate before they banned guns. America is one of the only countries in the world to count suicides by a gun as gun "violence" if you take that out of account the remaining number is mostly gang violence in poorly run cities. The UK's gun violence actually increased when they banned guns. Also, you're comparing countries with much smaller populations compared to the US except for the totalitarian government of China which I for one wouldn't trust.
There would be a lot less opportunity for murder if most people had guns. Murderers and rapists will (most likely) stay away from someone they know has a gun. People defending themselves with firearms and other weapons is by no means a rare occurrence.

Yes this is true
But there should be SOME form of control
You don't generally hear about the good that happens, because if a would-be murderer/kidnapper/rapist gets shot, it doesn't affect society very much. But if somebody shoots up a crowd of people, that makes a big impact on society.
how bout we quit letting criminals out of jail?????
Kid i grew up with Richard plotts got 80 yrs for armend bank robbery, they let him out in like 17.
He told the parole brd he didnt want to be let out of jail and he wud do more crime worse if let out.
he Killed my GF's friend Theresa at Fitzgerald Mercey Hosp near Philadelphia.
good thing dr silverman had a gun because he shot him in the arm. he would have killed more.
Plotts was never ever allowed to have any type of weapon ever again, even a knife. so laws dont work..
The only killer that I know that came out of prison trullly changed was after 25 hard yrs with help of buea bidden b4 he died.
It took 25 yrs to change him.he is my cuz and he wrote a book abt it called black boy lost
