Ok, I can see the connection being falsely perceived threats, but only after you explained it that way.
Without context it sounds like your equating the attribute of being black, with the state of not wearing a mask. Wearing a mask is in most contexts an easy thing to do. Whereas to stop being black would be impossible and to assert that someone is dangerous just because they're black is unjust.
