Well like I said, I haven't listened to Rush with any regularity in over 20 years. But I seriously doubt that he said to take 1st amendment rights away from liberals. If he actually did say that it was a joke. The 1st amendment is what gave Rush his career, taking it away from anyone would be like shooting yourself in the foot.

But Rush just died. He was a great man who made probably the most positive influence on this nation of any man, at least in my lifetime. He literally saved AM radio and created a talk radio format that even lunatic leftists can earn an income on. He got addicted several years ago to Oxycontin which from what I understand is extremely hard to kick. But he kicked that addiction anyway and has been sober for over a decade.

He was able to take complicated topics and break them down to explain them to the general public so that most people could understand it and still be entertaining on the radio. That is a talent that only a very small handful of people have.

Of all of the other radio talk show hosts there isn't really anyone who can fill his shoes.

You should listen to what people say and be open to what their opinions are rather than knee jerk reacting out of hate. Figure out why you disagree with Rush or anyone else. Don't just react in hate. Figure out why you believe the things you do. Use you brain.

I didn't stop listening to him because I didn't like him. I stopped listening to him because of my job. His show is on during my work hours so I would listen to him at work. Then I changed jobs and couldn't listen to the radio at my new job. And even though I don't work at that place any more and I could've have listened to him for almost a year, I didn't. When the pandemic hit I was able to start working from home. I could have listened to him but I listened to Glenn Beck instead.

The few times I was not at work and in my car at that time I would typically listen to him but those times were far and few between. I could have bought a subscription to his show but I already have one to The Blaze TV (Glenn Beck, Mark Levin, Steven Crowder, Dave Rubin, etc).

Do you know why OxyContin is so highly addictive. The doctor will prescribe it for a pain reliever, which is what happened to Rush. But then the prescription ends and when you stop taking it the pain comes back only stronger than before. And if you keep taking the drug the drug stops being effective so then you take more and more just to keep the pain away.

Fortunately I have never been prescribed that for anything nor do I ever want it. So cut him some slack because he did kick the habit several years ago and that is no small feat.

Probably because I pay attention to things and think for myself. Plus I am probably a lot older than you so I've been around longer.

I don't automatically hate people who disagree with me. I give them a chance and if all I hear is just hate, hate, hate then ignore them. ImgFlip is the exception to that rule. I am trying to get people to use that dried up walnut sized bit of grey matter in their skulls before it completely atrophies. But I am just wasting my time. Some people just want to hate and I have never seen more hatred in my life than what I am seeing coming from the left since Trump won in 2016.
