This portrait is of Arthur Guinness. The brewer of Guinness Extra Stout and founder of St. James's Gate Brewery. He negotiated his lease agreement for his brewery, before his product even hit the market for £45 per year (equivalent to $62.85 U.S. dollars) for 9,000 years. He and his wife Olivia Whitmore had 21 children together. Which just goes to show, when you make alcohol your life's work–anything and everything is possible!
