Even if you legitimately, honestly believe in assault weapon bans because you want to lower the crime rate, I'll be honest, your heart's in the right place, but the problem is, it doesn't work. Gun control, period, doesn't. The stricter the gun control laws, the higher the crime rate. Not to mention, one of the most notorious school shootings in American history happened during the assault weapons ban, so we all know how well that went.
That said, of course, we all know they're not doing it to lower the crime rate. They're doing it to keep us in line. Need we remind them, we're Americans. We detest being told what we can and can't do, let alone by pompous toffs with god complexes, and we reserve the right to not deal with their shit.
