Imports are part of capitalism. A healthy capitalist economy has both imports and exports. And, the country we import from or export to only matters to people trying to politicize capitalism

Henry Ford decided, not the government.

So? An observation about what is good for capitalism is not good depending on who it comes from? I guess educating children is a bad idea. Protecting them from molesters must also be bad.

That's quite a leap from $15 min. wage to molesters. A simple observation is that Henry Ford decided for his business model a certain wage would benefit his ability to sell cars to the masses. Would his minimum wage have worked for the neighborhood grocery or the family restaurant down the street from his factory? I don't know and neither did the government. That's my simple observation.

My point is that just because the government says or does something, it is not automatically wrong.
The new deal proved that "trickle up," to coin a phrase for what Ford advocated, works. On the other hand "Trickle Down," simply drives up the National Debt. One circulates money through the economy, creating enterprise, which benefits everyone. The other distributes money to the rich, which they traditionally salt away, benefitting only themselves. As a capitalist, I favor the enterprise over the social programs for the rich.
