Looks like somebody is chugging the Kool-Aid like it was a beer keg at a frat party if you think Teachers Unions give a rat's ass about children. They lobbied against School Choice, they placed plastic tombstones outside a school to scare kids, and refuse to allow schools to reopen. That ain't "looking out for children's safety and their own". That's using Covid (which has been proven to be a lot more dangerous to the elderly than it is to children) as an excuse to do less work while continuing to get paid the same wage.

so you think they just talk? Do you know anything about education? They have to lesson plan, contact parents grade assignments and so much more and they have to find ways to teach things that can only be taught in person teaching isnt just talking.

I know that Teachers Unions don't give a rat's ass about kids. When it comes time for layoffs, they protect the lazy and inept. They oppose School Choice (parents choosing which schools their kids will be attending instead of letting their kid get stuck in a bad school because of their Zip Code) because it threatens their pay checks. That's why they love Covid: it's a convenient excuse to work less while getting paid the same. Instead of being in a school from seven to three teaching an entire classroom of students, they turn on their computer, talk to a bunch of faces on the screen, press a button or two, and close out once the lesson's over. They don't care that Zoom is Chinese Spyware or that test scores have gone down since Online Schooling began, so long as they get paid.

Artificially inflated hours doesn't make a job harder. It just makes it easier to justify a Union being paid for less work. Teaching online is harder? Prior to Covid, teachers had to drive to school, write down things on the board, hand out tests, use Power Point presentations, and take the class on the occasional field trip. That takes more effort than walking to a computer, turning it on, talking to a bunch of faces on the screen, pressing a button or two, and then closing out once the school day over. As for the teachers who got their pay cut, that's the Teachers Unions playing favorites because, like all Trade Unions, the Union Bosses are corrupt and nepotistic.

I graduated from High School and I can safely say that teachers in an actual classroom do more work than ones in a virtual one. You're the dumbass for thinking that Teachers Unions give a rat's ass about kids when, like all Trade Unions, they care only about money, especially the Union Bosses.
