1. If 096 were able to see the mirror, it would most likely destroy the object that was creating the reflection.
2. 049 doesn't have the pestilence. He had different anomalous properties that kill upon skin contact.
3. Meh question overall. A better one would be why did none of the containment personnel think of winking. 131 have proved that it only requires one eye to keep the statue stationary.
