Fine. I will. Earth has a gravitational pull, which pulls things towards its core. If an object is far enough from its surface and has a high enough velocity, it can orbit Earth. Using this property, scientists put satellites on rockets and fly them into space so they can orbit earth, and yes, there are thousands of them. And they do indeed exist. In fact, you can observe many of them going across the sky with binoculars or a telescope.
