So, I've talked to scar about this, and he told me it involves someone else's privacy. He was worried that if they exposed richard, he would use the information he has on someone else as blackmail. That is a really serious issue that I don't believe LaChancla is responsible for. At the same time, your point about protecting privacy resulting in protecting crime being conspiracy is compelling, too. Ngl, I really can't decide which side is right. If I had to choose, though, I'd say LaChancla is justified, since protecting someone's real world privacy is more important than exposing an alt in this roleplay. That's just my 2 cents, though.

It's not the fact that he cheated that is the privacy risk. He had private information of someone else, and scar and LaChancla believe he may use that information as leverage to make them do stuff or straight up leak it if they exposed him. If they claimed it was Richard's privacy at risk, I would see that that's conspiracy and be all for a conviction. That's not what it's about, though. Either way, as I said in my other comment, I guess it is up to the court.

There is a difference between showing private screenshot that incriminate someone on a roleplay (yes, still an a-hole move) and possibly letting someone's real world private information get leaked. I guess it is up to the supreme court, though.

Your missing the point. RichardChill being GreenyMeany was not the private information. Richard had private information on somebody else. They were worried he would leak someone else's private information if they exposed him. I'm not trying to
cover for someone and win over buddies or anything. I can't recall ever really talking to LaChancla before. You are just misunderstanding who's information was it risk.

This was a conversation about this between me and Scar from a few days ago. I have also seen LaChancla say a similar thing at about the same time. I'll go try to find older things from them to see if their story has changed. This is the information I've been going off of, though. It's a hard case because the people suspected of conspiracy are the only ones who can have the information that would condemn or vindicate them. They could be making it up, or they could actually not be able to give any more information of what they are saying is true.
