So, I've talked to scar about this, and he told me it involves someone else's privacy. He was worried that if they exposed richard, he would use the information he has on someone else as blackmail. That is a really serious issue that I don't believe LaChancla is responsible for. At the same time, your point about protecting privacy resulting in protecting crime being conspiracy is compelling, too. Ngl, I really can't decide which side is right. If I had to choose, though, I'd say LaChancla is justified, since protecting someone's real world privacy is more important than exposing an alt in this roleplay. That's just my 2 cents, though.
