actually it made sense to do it, because Palpatine said there was a Sith Lord that could create life. If someone can create living tissue through the force, rejuvenating it would be a cinch. So technically if you think that the last three are garbage, the prequels are too.
also, they finally had Rey do something I’ve been joking about for years; self-levitation. I’ve always been joking that force wielders seem to be able to levitate other stuff, but not themselves.
