IN 1966, MILTON FRIEDMAN WROTE AN OP-ED FOR NEWSWEEK ENTITLED "MINIMUM WAGE RATES." IN IT, HE ARGUED "THAT THE MINIMUM-WAGE LAW IS THE MOST ANTI-NEGRO LAW ON OUR STATUTE BOOKS." HE WAS, OF COURSE, REFERRING TO THE THEN-PRESENT ERA, AFTER THE FAR MORE EXPLICITLY RACIST LAWS FROM THE SLAVERY AND SEGREGATION ERAS OF UNITED STATES. | image tagged in racism, democrats | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Don’t know, just used him as one of many that acknowledges the racism of minimum wage.

The reason minimum wage was started was racist. The result of the minimum wage hurts people of color. Some jobs aren’t worth $15.00 or $10.00 / hour. I say eliminate the minimum wage.

Why does a 14 year old 8th grader who works 18 hours a week pulling weeds, need to earn a living wage? And why do you get to determine what a living wage is? And of this is a federal law, how can a living wage in NY be equal to a living wage in Mississippi?

If you can ever get yourself hired, you go ask your new boss that. Sure he'll be glad to see things your way.

My wife and I have our own law firm. We actually hire people. We have 8 employees. Nice try.

Well that is one of the requirements for signing up on this site. Everyone here (even children like yourself) is a lawyer.
