Except that the doors are kept understaffed and out of date on purpose because the same people who wanted the wall refuse to modernize the legal immigration channels.

So the real message is "we just don't like you" and everybody knows it.

Your reply seems to indicate that you believe that we are not allowing the annual allotment (well over a million a year) of immigrants to actually immigrate. That premise is unsupported by facts

And yet tens of millions still find it inaccessible. This was something that both Republicans AND Democrats were set to fix but it was refused for a vote at all.

Everyone's been screaming from the rooftops for decades that the legal immigration channels ARE NOT ENOUGH for our country's needs. The ONLY reason people like you would have to say that this is fine is if you just don't like it when more immigrants come, legally or not. Your legalism is a poorly disguised excuse to distract us from that.

Again, logic escapes you.

It is reasonable to set limits on immigration for reasons that are obvious to most people. You seem to be suggesting that we should be allowing tens of millions to immigrate. There are not jobs for them. There are not jobs enough for the people who already live here. You don't get to make up your own employment statistics.

"The ONLY reason people like you would have to say that this is fine is if you just don't like it when more immigrants come, legally or not. "

People like me? bigotry much?

They're NOT reasonable. That's what everybody's been shouting from the rooftops for the last fifty years. Reasonable people find it inaccessible. People like you are using the legalism to hold access to immigration unreasonably low. That's what everyone's been saying - conservative and liberal alike; you just don't like immigrants and you have no valid excuse for it.

... everybody's been shouting ...
Maybe the fools with which you surround yourself. This is hardly everybody.

You don't get to make up your own labor statistics. There are not enough jobs for the people who are already here. There are fewer jobs than people already. If people come here, they will not have jobs. what part of that can you not comprehend?

How do you expect to support people without jobs? Let me guess; redistribute wealth?

" ...you just don't like immigrants ..."
More of your dumbshittery. you are a fool

I've seen specialists denied visas. People so highly trained, we don't HAVE Americans trained do the work they do - and they STILL can't get through the system.

SO WE KNOW THAT THE ISSUE ISN'T EMPLOYABILITY. IT'S THAT YOU JUST DON'T LIKE IMMIGRANTS.

And yet your open position was no to let well qualified people in, but tens of millions that wat in. Maybe we should let in less of the unskilled workers and get more high skilled ones in their place.

The Congress has had repeated opportunity over the years to update and revise Immigration Policy. At various times each party has had control of the House, the Senate and the Presidency at the same time. They did not take those opportunities because having the issues better suits them than solving the issue.

No. It was one person's decision not to bring the agreed Bill to a vote. It wasn't both parties. It was one person who happened to be Speaker of the House, representing your particular faction of politics. Both parties were ready to pass this thing - it was your faction abusing its power to keep things dysfunctional not as a distraction from another issue but because it's what you want: you actively don't like immigrants.

The word "repeatedly" is there for a reason. We are talking about a period of years and numerous different congresses that have failed to act. As for it being my "faction" abusing its power, you have no idea what my beliefs are or which "side" I align with on this issue. Apparently you see everyone as either this or that. I look at issues and solutions on their merit, not by which side presents the idea. Try it some time.

I had a brief scan of memes that you yourself have posted and yes - you are part of this. You are part of the faction that overrode the will of the GOP AND Democrats to FIX THIS back in 2015.

Enlighten me with your powers of observation. What part of "this" do you mean, because I cannot deduce what you're talking about.

Looks like he is playing the blame game and saying your part of the problem and therefor his side isn't at fault at all.
