Why so much? Because big pharma overcharges for literally everything.

Remember when Trump got drug prices down and then Biden was like “na”

the prices of a few random medications cam down a bit, but the problem of pricing is still obscene. You cannot chase around the edges looking for reform. Biden is not a fan of universal healthcare. I am not a bidenist. They are not so different. Trump didn't do anything to help either

Ok but what about all the rest of people with all the other diseases who have the exact problem?

Tell voters to get Trump back in so he can keep squeezing better deals outa big pharma.

Joe got elected and raised the prices back up in his first week.

Neither of them is going to give us good healthcare. Adjusting a handful of medications is a stunt and not meaningful or structural.

Tell that to the people who use those medications.

Healthcare isn’t something the government should provide for us, in my opinion.

They do it in every single economic peer country to the US and they spend half as much of their GDPs on healthcare, and get better results. Shit just look at cuba. Having the govt run it actually works much much better because the govt doesn't price gouge you and doesn't refuse you care. US has 40-70K deaths from inability to pay EVERY YEAR in the precovid times. Having the govt run the healthcare is the only workable solution.

Channom, you cannot make any real change to the healthcare system if you just screw around on the edges. My asthma meds never came down under trump, nor did those for many other serious conditions. The countries whose govts purchase the drugs and negotiate the prices can pay < $10 for a drug which can be hundreds of thousands of dollars in the US. You are like 8 different kinds of wrong, dude.

Yeah that's straight up untrue. There are 40-70K ppl who die simply from inability to pay each year in the US. A little tiny island like Cuba has a lung cancer vaccine, novel interferon drugs, and better public health statsthsn the US with a small, less well funded social healthcare system.

They haven't had a lot of trouble with covid.

For profit healthcare literally let's you die to maximize insurance company profits.

That's a lot of internalized misidentification of your self interests there, bud.

And, yes, Cuba is behind the US in maternal mortality rate. They're not perfect, and Soychad isn't arguing that they are. They're just getting a lot more out of a lot less resources, and spreading it more fairly.

Communists prioritize the well being of the people and capitalists prioritize profiteering and extraction.
