That's easy. It's a poll, and pollsters weight polls in the direction they want the data to skew. It's the same reason Hillary looked so good in the polls but performed so bad on election night.
If you consistently poll more liberals than conservatives, you're going to consistently get poll results that are not representative of the actual population.
