What if God came down to Earth and spoke to us? Ahem Jesus anyone?

But what exactly does that look like? God appearing in front of you and saying Hi I'm God?

It could be that. It could be someone who was confirmed dead, came back and said: 'Heaven/Hell is real', and then confirmed not to be mad (Near-death visions don't count for obvious reasons). The apocalypse as stated in the bible (Not what we have right now)

There have been many near death experiences, God literally has come to earth in various forms most recently as Jesus, the thing is all the evidence athiests say will convince them has happened yet they continue to brush it off.

Most of Jesus's miracles almost certainly never happened. Near death experiences where the person sees God or heaven are almost exclusively experienced by people who believe in that. I think it was probably just a figment of their imagination.

Not everything in the Bible is to be taken literally. It's a literary work meaning it uses imagery. Some of it is literal some are historic events that happened, but most of it is imagery.

I'm just saying. We don't have Angels blowing trumpets to kill a load of people, we don't have war (yet), we don't have a lack of food.

And I would certainly be more open to the idea if they proof for “God” was more logical and outweighed the things disproving the idea.

For me proof would be something tangible. DNA evidence maybe (I know that there is that, which is why I started to believe) but there is more. There should be more than just one thing with a finger print.
