Praying for Texas. I lived there, I can feel their pain but I'm from the north and they have no idea what cold is

Yeah, even in south Texas the temps don't reach 90 in the winter. Maybe 80 on rare occasions, but not 90.

The man on the picture is Anders Celsius. To me 90 degrees is very close to the boiling point of water, and not a single human soul survives temperatures like those.

On the scale of Celsius, the one I was raised with 0 degrees is the freezing point of water and 100 degrees the boiling point of water, so perhaps you can get a bit how hot 90 degrees sounds to me :)

I live dead smack in the middle of it and we lost power during the rolling blackouts a few times during one day. We've had power through most of it, thank God. Many aren't so lucky.

Lol, all jokes aside, I feel ya. Snow and cold sucks. Hopefully the state government gets the message and winterizes all the infrastructure, or at the very least connects the Texas power grid to the rest of the country. You all shouldn't have to go through that.

It wouldn't have been all that bad if it weren't for the ice. North Texas gets snow every year, but where I live we might see a dusting of snow every 5-8 years. This year we got four snowfalls in the same year and twice it came within a week, plus the ice.
