Nixon is not as bad or as evil as is typically remembered. He ran a gangsterish government and was paranoid AF but he signed some good bills into legislation, he ended the Vietnam War, he opened China, and generally acknowledged and accepted elections and reality. When Watergate closed in on him, he saw the writing on the wall, resigned, and got the hell out of dodge.
