He was definitely being rude and insensitive to this memer who opened up and told their story.

This was flagrantly insensitive and evidence ChildAbusePreventer was only out to stir the pot.

Oh hey my argument

how were they not being homophobic? correct me if i'm wrong but saying being LGBTQ+ is a choice and saying the community is brainwashing children and comparing us to predators is homophobia? and even if they weren't trying to be hateful what they said was incredibly invalidating and harmful. as someone who's struggled with internalized homophobia/transphobia for years it really hurt to see someone say being who i am is a choice because that's something i've been telling myself for years and just recently got over. i'm sorry if this sounds like a guilt trip that's not at all where i'm going i just wanted to tell a little part of my story. whoever you are you opinions are valid as long as they're not hateful but i shouldn't be the person to decide whether or not they are.

Beez took him to task here

He admitted here he was against “LGBTQ brainwashing.” That showed his true colors, that he doesn’t recognize LGBTQ as valid and doesn’t understand the purpose of online spaces where LGBTQ individuals can share and build.

Beyond that, this memer knows way too much about Imgflip for us to buy their story that this is a brand new account.

No, they weren’t genuinely out to stop child abuse. Not even a little bit.

They were looking to take this stream down and destroy its community. Or at the very least, take sick enjoyment from attacking kids.

This memer has now been comment timered — we’ll see what ultimately happens with their account.

I didn't think you were, and I don't think he's homophobic, he just is trying to get younger kids of this site because of mature content, and that includes the LGBTQ stream

i don't think so either, and they can avoid mature content by turning off nsfw. The LGBTQ+ stream wasn't made to change your sexuality, but to support you after you've made up your mind, or to guide you and help you find yourself.
I don't think its influencing people's decisions in a bad way tho.

I was talking to someone else about nsfw and they said that they kept it on to see memes with the word "f**k" in them, not to see borderline porn. It can influence them in a negative way if they were supported while thinking whether they should or shouldn't become transgender, because the process can hurt your body

then i think there should be two types of nsfw in the settings
and being trans is their choice. How could it hurt you btw?

The process involves lots of chemicals that can hurt your body, and doing it at a young age can stunt your growth and impact other parts of your body

at young age i agree, but you can start planning out your future without actually doing it

Of course, but if they shouldn’t do it at a young age, should they wait until 18?

i think they should find someone to talk to about all that stuff, and receive guidance from them. Then, its entirely their decision, and there isnt really a "should" cause peeps are different
[deleted]
1 up, 4y
There should always be a “should”. There is an age of consent, a drinking age and limit, a limit and how many wives you can have. Just because people are different shouldn’t mean it doesn’t apply to them

The same thing can be said about the process to become transgender. And yes, there is a law on polyamory
