Nah, man, wizards can be lightly poked by a kobold and they'll fall over, dead. It's why I play Shadow Sorcerer. There's a feature where you can roll a Charisma saving throw to choose to just not die.

Yeah I played as a wizard for a while, but I know what you mean about them dying too quickly. My favorite class is a rogue, specifically the arcane trickster subclass. Basically, I'm a rogue that casts wizard spells, and I have as many spells as a wizard 3 levels below me.
