The sad part is, that it's not entirely untrue. There isn't a branch of business in which more money circles around than in the criminal businesses. Drugs in particular is a quick way to get rich. However nothing someone says before the word "but" really counts, so here goes... BUT what do you get in return for the easy money you make with crime? Cops hunting after you all the time, not to mention fellow criminals you may want your blood because you are doing better than them or even threatening to them. So you must always be alert for murderers lurking at you or cops trying to arrest you. Especially when cops threw your picture through TV and internet so everybody could recognize you, you have no way to go. So then you are rich, but the price you pay cannot be written down in money. The question is if riches are worth that.
Apparently they are worth it, as there are still a lot for criminals... Or is falling in love with quick and easy money just as blind as falling in love with a member of the opposite sex (or same sex in case you are gay)? Or is desperation over your own situation so horrible that crime seems to be the only way out, not realizing that once you are in, you cannot easily get out?
Yes, crime can make you rich... at least in the terms of money. If it makes you happy is a different story.
