Yesterday i had one in politics take 5 hours, and many memes were approved between when I submitted and when it got approved

one of mine i think took half a day before

This seems to happen to me a lot. The longer it takes to get approved, the further down the "New" list my image ends up, and the fewer people actually see it.

Agreed! One of mine got approved at midnight and It was funny :(
