We’re already calling for Trump to be locked up and barred from holding future office for this lovely little lie-soaked speech he gave (excerpted) immediately prior to the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill riot, his shameful decision to watch it all play out on TV for 6 hours before doing anything, etc etc etc.

The “QAnon Shaman” attorney Al Watkins made the best possible argument for his client that Trump owed all those rioters a pardon, because he directly instigated them to do it. As Mr. Watkins put it: A President’s word ought to mean something.

Of course Trump didn’t give any pardons because it would only further implicate himself and, at the end of the day, he cares not a fig for his rank-and-file supporters and actually looks down his nose at them as lower-class rabble. Easy marks.

If you are a loyal and powerful footman like Bannon or Stone or Flynn, though, the key to heaven is yours.
