It's Okay (not to) Be Okay

It's Okay (not to) Be Okay | Many won’t admit it but everyone that has been put on this earth struggle with some form of Mental Health. Some are more crippling then others and right now, in this crazy unsure world, it’s adding to everyone’s anxiety and depression. When our children fell and broke a bone or needed stitches, we as parents took them to see a doctor and had them cared for, mended and healed. Well a broken bone we can see on an X-ray, and that cut that needed stitching we could visually see with our eyes. But a brain that is feeling broken, bruised or just tired and alone is hard to see. I feel before you rush your son or daughter to the nearest hospital or "Shrink" looking for that quick healing, (That will end with your child put on anti-psychotics, turning them into zombies sitting on the couch, not knowing his or her ass from their eyelids!); - USE YOUR WORDS - Talk to your children, tell them your struggles all the things that scare you. Share with them the things that keep you from sleeping or not wanting to leave the house. Explain to them that it's "Okay not to be Okay." Let them know that you love them and they're not alone, nor will they ever be alone! As parents just talking to our children, sharing our own struggles and fears, we are not rushing them to the closest Hospital or Shrink. We are slowly bringing them out of the darkness,
