Rather than having a taskmaster and a deputy taskmaster under them, I would be in favor of the President just appointing up to 3 taskmasters that serve as long as the President chooses. They wouldn't exactly have any real power, but they could help keep an eye out for any problems and bring them to the President, or directly to me.
